A striking detail has emerged in the case file prepared regarding the murder of Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found 19 days after she went missing in Diyarbakır. It was reported that statements were taken from 172 individuals in the Tavşantepe village where Narin was killed, categorized as "witnesses" and "informed parties," and that nearly the entire village responded with "I didn't see, I didn't hear, I don't know."

The long-awaited decision in the Narin Güran murder case, closely followed by Turkey, was announced recently. After days of hearings, the detained defendants, mother Yüksel, brother Enes, and uncle Salim Güran, were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for "intentional murder of a child in complicity." The detained defendant Nevzat Bahtiyar was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison.

THE FILE CONTAINS STATEMENTS FROM 172 PEOPLE

Musa Kesler from Hürriyet newspaper reached the case file consisting of 10 folders regarding the Narin murder. According to the details in the file, statements were taken from 172 people from Tavşantepe village as "witnesses" and "informed parties." All of the witnesses, when asked whether they saw Narin, responded with "I didn't see, I didn't hear, I don't know."

"OUR HOUSE IS OUTSIDE THE VILLAGE, I NEVER SAW HER"

It was noted that almost all of those who were interviewed as witnesses or informed parties were asked the question, "Did you see Narin Güran on August 21? If so, where and at what time did you see her?" Many people, including a real estate agent, a farmer, and the village imam, responded with answers such as "I never saw Narin that day," "I didn't see her, I don't know her," and "Our house is a bit outside the village, so I never saw her."
