Raziye Şimşek, who lives in the city center of Sivas, deeply affected those who heard her dramatic life story after losing her mother at the age of 1. After her mother's death, Raziye Şimşek was allegedly left at the door of an orphanage by her father at the age of 1, and according to claims, she was given to a family without being registered by the orphanage director of that time.
"SHE WAS FACING PROBLEMS WITH STATE INSTITUTIONS" Registered with false records as if she were the biological child of the adopting family, Şimşek was rejected by the adopting family after getting married and was disowned. Because of the identity card number issued by the adopting family and her own identity card number, Şimşek faced many problems when she went to state institutions.
REGAINED HER IDENTITY WITH DNA SAMPLE After approximately 3 years of efforts to find her true identity, Raziye Şimşek regained her true identity as a result of a DNA sample taken from her biological father's grave. Experiencing the joy of regaining her identity after 58 years, Raziye Şimşek said, "I cried a lot because I received an identity that everyone has in their pocket after a 58-year struggle."
"SHE REGANED HER IDENTITY AFTER 3.5 YEARS OF STRUGGLE, 58 YEARS LATER" Şimşek, who said she could not hold back her tears because she received her identity after a 58-year struggle, stated, "When I entered E-Government, my ancestors and descendants were not visible. I had no legal rights. There was nothing on either side. Something was going around. Despite having no crime, I could have been considered guilty because I had no legal rights. I could have been found guilty due to the fake identity. After 58 years and 3.5 years of struggle, I regained my identity. My family and my husband supported me a lot both materially and spiritually. We were at the final stages, the case was about to close. I also thank the court staff and the judge very much. Finally, we applied for a DNA test. As a result, I was able to obtain my identity. When I received my identity, I relived my past. I thank my spiritual father. He was actually my father. But even if it was just on paper, I had to register the biological one. I cried a lot because I received an identity that everyone has in their pocket after a 58-year struggle," she said.
