RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS: IT IS DISCOURAGED FOR WOMEN AND MEN TO STAND TOGETHER AT FUNERALS
According to the Presidency of Religious Affairs, it is not considered appropriate for women to stand in the same row as men during the funeral prayer, including the funeral prayer itself. The statement emphasized the practice of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), reminding that the rows were arranged with men first, then boys, and women at the back. The Religious Affairs stated that this arrangement is in accordance with the Sunnah and should apply to all prayers.
On the other hand, it was stated that if women pray in the same row as men during the funeral prayer, this would not affect the validity of the prayer. It was expressed that since the funeral prayer does not include bowing and prostration, it is not considered a complete prayer, and it was shared that such behavior by women is discouraged (not religiously accepted).
