In 2025, the countries with the strongest passports in the world were determined. In this year's ranking, many countries maintained their positions, while some fell in the rankings. Turkey jumped 6 places in the list.

The "Passport Index 2025," regularly published by Henley & Partners based on the official data of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), has been released, ranking the world's strongest passports.

1. SINGAPORE

According to this year's index, the Singapore passport, which allows visa-free travel to 195 countries, once again secured the top spot as the world's strongest passport.

2. JAPAN

Following Singapore, which maintained its first place, is Japan, providing visa-free travel to 193 countries.

3. GERMANY, FRANCE, FINLAND, ITALY, SPAIN, SOUTH KOREA

France, Germany, Italy, and Spain dropped two places in the ranking to settle in third place. These countries are on the same level as Finland and South Korea, which lost one rank each in the last 12 months and provide visa-free access to 192 destinations.

4. AUSTRIA, DENMARK, IRELAND, LUXEMBOURG, NETHERLANDS, NORWAY, SWEDEN

The group of 7 European Union countries consisting of Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden shares the 4th place with visa-free access to 191 destinations.

5. BELGIUM, NEW ZEALAND, PORTUGAL, SWITZERLAND, UNITED KINGDOM

Belgium, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom also rank 5th with visa-free access to 190 destinations.

6. AUSTRALIA, GREECE

Australia and Greece share the 6th position on the list. The number of countries they can travel to visa-free is 189.

7. POLAND, MALTA, CANADA

Poland, Canada, and Malta share the 7th position on the list. The number of countries that holders of these passports can travel to visa-free is 188.

8. CZECHIA, HUNGARY

Czechia and Hungary are in the 8th position on the list. The number of countries they can travel to visa-free is 187.

9. USA, ESTONIA

The 9th position is shared by the United States and Estonia. The number of countries they can travel to visa-free is 186.

10. LITHUANIA, LATVIA, SLOVENIA, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

Lithuania, Latvia, Slovenia, and the UAE share the 10th position with visa-free travel to 185 countries.

11. CROATIA, ICELAND, SLOVAKIA

Croatia, Iceland, and Slovakia completed the list in 11th place with visa-free travel to 184 countries.

Malaysia ranks 12th on the list, with its passport holders able to travel visa-free to 183 countries.

13. LIECHTENSTEIN

Liechtenstein, in 13th place, allows visa-free travel to 182 countries.

Holders of the Greek Cyprus passport can travel visa-free to 179 countries.

15. BULGARIA, MONACO, ROMANIA

Holders of Bulgarian, Romanian, and Monaco passports can travel visa-free to 178 countries.

16. CHILE

Chile, in 16th place, allows visa-free travel to 176 countries.

17. ARGENTINA

Argentina, in 17th place, allows visa-free travel to 172 countries.

19. ISRAEL

20. BRUNEI

Holders of the Brunei passport in 20th place can travel visa-free to 166 countries.

46. TURKEY

In the list, Turkey has risen 6 places compared to the same period last year, settling in 46th place. The number of countries that can be traveled to visa-free with a Turkish passport is 116.
