In Konya, the lifeless body of 37-year-old Şuayip Demir was found inside a parked vehicle in an empty lot. His partner, Ayşe K., initially claimed that he had stabbed himself. However, in her statement at the police station, the suspect confessed to the murder.
The person found dead in his vehicle, stabbed in the chest, in an empty lot in Konya was revealed to have been killed by the woman he lived with. It was learned that the suspect woman, who was taken into custody by the police, initially confessed to the crime in her statement at the police station but later denied it.
The incident occurred around 07:00 in the morning in the Gödene neighborhood of the central Meram district. Following a report that a person had stabbed himself in a parked vehicle in an empty lot, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. In the initial examination conducted by the health teams, it was determined that 37-year-old Şuayip Demir had lost his life.
FIRST SAID "HE STABBED HIMSELF"
Ayşe K., 35, who was with Şuayip Demir in the vehicle, stated in her first statement that they had consumed alcohol together in the empty lot during the night, and that she had fallen asleep afterward. She said that when she woke up in the morning, she saw Şuayip Demir sitting in the driver's seat, having stabbed himself. After the investigations, the lifeless body of Demir, who lost his life in the incident, was taken to the Konya Forensic Medicine Institute Morgue for an autopsy.
CONTRADICTORY STATEMENTS GAVE HER AWAY
Suspecting the woman's contradictory statements, the teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch took Ayşe K. to the police station to take her statement. It was learned that in her first statement at the police station, the suspect confessed to committing the act, but then denied her crime. After undergoing a health check at Konya Numune Hospital, Ayşe K. was referred to the courthouse.
