The incident occurred around 4:00 AM yesterday in the jewelry store located on Tekin Street in the İldem Cumhuriyet neighborhood of the Melikgazi district. M.Ç. (26) arrived at the jewelry store in a stolen forklift. The suspect broke the store's shutters with the forklift, entered, and stole 150 grams of jewelry.

As the alarm went off, a large number of police teams were dispatched to the scene. The police teams initiated efforts to capture the suspect who fled the scene.

HE FLED ON A DONKEY

Teams from the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch Theft and Pickpocketing Bureau identified the suspect as M.Ç. as a result of fieldwork and camera analysis. M.Ç., who was taken into custody, was arrested and sent to prison after processing at the police station. The 150 grams of gold found buried in the ground was returned to its owner.
