In line with the goal of a "Terror-Free Turkey," the extension of the term of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) for an additional 2 months was unanimously approved.
In line with the goal of a terrorism-free Turkey, the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, chaired by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, convened for the 20th time in the TBMM Ceremony Hall. The extension of the commission's term by 2 months was unanimously accepted.
Before the meeting, Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş stated, "During this period, additional time will be needed to complete the final report."
"4139 PAGES OF MINUTES RECORDED IN 19 MEETINGS"
Highlights from Numan Kurtulmuş's statements are as follows: "In the 19 meetings held so far, 58 sessions have taken place, a schedule of 86 hours of discussions has been established, and a total of 135 people have been heard, resulting in 4,139 pages of minutes being recorded."
"WE HAVE ENTERED THE JOINT REPORT PHASE"
During this period, we have overcome critical milestones regarding the commission's work with great sensitivity and truly dedicated efforts. Now, we have reached the final stage of our commission. This involves writing a joint report and leading the process of submitting this report to the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey for the legalization of the proposals here and the fulfillment of other proposals.
"ADDITIONAL TIME WILL BE NEEDED"
I also hope that the great maturity and courtesy demonstrated in the conduct and style of our commission's work will serve as an example for the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. And hopefully, in a short time, we will be able to finalize our report and share the text we have collectively agreed upon with the Turkish public.
However, it seems that additional time will be needed to complete the final report, as has emerged in our consultations with our friends and party representatives during this period. Therefore, after listening to the presentation of our esteemed professors, we will seek your opinions and votes to make a decision regarding the additional time for our commission."
