Thieves who entered a house in Bayrampaşa and stole jewelry have been caught. It was revealed that the 36-year-old suspect had 100 criminal records, while the 26-year-old suspect had 119. The criminal women were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station.
On January 16, 2026, an incident occurred in the Altıntepsi neighborhood of the Bayrampaşa district in Istanbul, where a citizen named S.U. reported to the police that a burglary had taken place in his home, and that 2 gold bracelets, 2 gold rings, and 2 gold necklaces had been stolen.
SECURITY CAMERAS EXPOSED THE THIEVES
In the investigation initiated by the Burglary Bureau, it was determined that the suspects were captured by security cameras. The footage showed the suspects moving quickly while entering and exiting the apartment. The police also identified the jeweler where the suspects exchanged the stolen items during their examination of the area. The moments when the suspects exchanged the gold were reflected in the security camera footage.
ONE CAUGHT FOR THE 101ST TIME, THE OTHER FOR THE 120TH TIME
The teams from the Burglary Bureau detained the suspects S.C. (36) and S.C. (26), whose identities were identified. It was determined that the 36-year-old S.C. had previously been recorded by the police 100 times, while the other suspect had a record of 119 times. After their processing, the suspects were referred to the courthouse.
