DEATH TOLL RISES

The death toll from the explosion that took place last Saturday at the Shahid Rajaee Port in the city of Bandar Abbas, located in Iran's Hormozgan province, has increased. Hormozgan Governor Mohammad Ashouri stated in a press release that the number of fatalities has risen from 46 to 65. Ashouri noted that the fire that broke out at the port after the explosion has been completely extinguished, stating, "After the fire was brought under control, search and rescue operations are ongoing. The containers need to be moved, and this process may take up to two weeks to complete. Our priority is to find the deceased."

CAUSE OF THE EXPLOSION STILL UNCLEAR

1,210 people were also injured in the explosion. While the treatment of 138 injured individuals continues in the hospital, the cause of the explosion is still unclear.
