The tragic toll during the holiday is increasing. In the 542 traffic accidents that occurred yesterday, 10 people lost their lives and 790 were injured. It has been reported that a total of 57 people have died and 6,533 have been injured in the first 6 days of the holiday.

600 THOUSAND VEHICLES CHECKED
Yerlikaya stated, "Throughout the holiday, our Police and Gendarmerie Traffic teams continue their inspections. On the 6th day of the holiday, Thursday, April 3, 2025, our traffic teams inspected 599,476 vehicles. Speed and radar operations were conducted on 22,892 vehicles, and other operations were carried out on 41,922 vehicles."

Wishing mercy from God for those who lost their lives and urgent healing for the injured, Minister Yerlikaya warned citizens, saying: "Our inspections continue uninterrupted. Let's be careful on the roads to avoid turning these happy days into sorrow. Roads exist to bring us together, not to separate us. I wish mercy from God for our citizens who lost their lives and urgent healing for the injured."
