The leader of the Ertoşi tribe, one of the largest tribes in Van, İskender Ertuş, shot his son during an argument in Ankara. His son, Hadi İskender, was taken to the hospital after the first intervention, while İskender Ertuş was released after three hours of questioning. İskender Ertuş, who is also noted for his political background, has been involved in politics with five different parties over the course of 23 years.

The leader of the Ertoşi Tribe, one of the largest tribes in Van, İskender Ertuş, shot his son during a dispute in Ankara. Following the incident, Ertuş was detained and released after approximately three hours of processing.

The incident occurred last night in the Yenimahalle district of Ankara. According to reports, İskender Ertuş went to the residence of his son Hadi İskender, who is from his second wife. A dispute broke out between the father and son for reasons that are still unknown.

Born in 1955 in the Başkale district of Van, İskender Ertuş was elected as the leader of the Ertoşi Tribe at the request of the tribe's elders after the death of his father, Mahmut Ertuş, in 1979. The Ertoşi Tribe, which is active in Van, Hakkari, Şırnak, Siirt, Batman, and Diyarbakır, is known as one of the first tribes to adopt the village guard system in the region.
