The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has released the VAR recordings of the matches played in the 12th week of the Trendyol Super League.
TFF shared the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) recordings of 3 matches played in the 12th week of the Süper Lig on its YouTube account with audio and video.
The matches featured in the video and the decisions made are as follows:
GENÇLERBİRLİĞİ-RAMS BAŞAKŞEHİR MATCH:
- In the 88th minute of the Gençlerbirliği - Başakşehir match, referee Direnç Tonusluoğlu was alerted by VAR after an attack from the visiting team. Tonusluoğlu, who came to the side for a 'potential penalty review', watched the incident from different angles. Regarding the ball that deflected off Thalisson during Başakşehir player Opoku's shot, Direnç Tonusluoğlu stated, "Erkan, I believe that the arm is in a natural position and that the fall did not actually open the natural arm. I stand by my decision," and returned to the field, saying there was no penalty.
GAZİANTEP FK-ÇAYKUR RİZESPOR MATCH:
- In the 66th minute of the Gaziantep FK - Çaykur Rizespor match, referee Oğuzhan Çakır received a suggestion for a 'potential penalty review' from the Video Assistant Referee. Çakır, who determined that Çaykur Rizespor player Emrecan Bulut stepped on Sorescu's foot, pointed to the penalty spot in favor of the home team.
KOCAELİSPOR-GALATASARAY MATCH:
- In the 83rd minute of the Kocaelispor - Galatasaray match, the yellow-reds equalized with a goal from Victor Osimhen. Referee Çağdaş Altay came to the side to watch the incident after VAR's suggestion for a 'potential offside before the goal' review.
VAR conversations are as follows:
