The high-tonnage bombs sent as part of the arms sale recently approved by the U.S. government have arrived in Israel. According to a report by Israeli state television KAN, 1,800 bombs weighing 1 ton each, approved for sale to Israel by U.S. President Donald Trump, were unloaded at Ashdod Port.

TRANSPORTED TO ISRAELI AIR BASES

The MK-84 type 1-ton bombs, referred to as "Doomsday Bombs," which were halted for sale by former U.S. President Joe Biden and later approved by Trump, have been transported to Israeli air bases.

KATZ: THIS SHIPMENT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR US

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz stated that this shipment is very important for the Israeli army and reflects the strong bond between the U.S. and Israel. Katz mentioned that he received a commitment from U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to continue providing all necessary resources to Israel during their meeting.

BIDEN ADMINISTRATION HAD HALTED THE SHIPMENT

The Biden administration in the U.S. announced that it had halted a shipment consisting of 1-ton and 227-kilogram bombs in response to criticism for supporting the Binyamin Netanyahu government, which has been conducting violent attacks in Gaza and threatening to target the densely populated city of Rafah. It was later noted that the 227-kilogram bombs would be shipped from the U.S. to Israel.
