After Galatasaray's defeat to Union SG, the UEFA country coefficient was updated. Turkey remains in 9th place with 47.000 points, while Belgium increased its advantage. A potential victory for Galatasaray would have provided valuable contributions to Turkey.

After Galatasaray's 1-0 defeat against Union Saint-Gilloise in the 5th week of the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA country coefficient tables have been updated again. The yellow-red team's loss directly affected Turkey's position in the rankings.

GALATASARAY MISSED AN OPPORTUNITY

The only goal in the match played at RAMS Park came from Promise David in the 57th minute. If Galatasaray had left the field with a victory, they would have achieved the success of winning 4 consecutive matches for the first time in Champions League history and would have made a significant contribution to Turkey's points. However, after the defeat, no additional contribution could be added to the country coefficient.

TURKEY RANKS 9TH

According to the updated UEFA country coefficient list, Turkey maintains its 9th place with 47.000 points. Belgium, on the other hand, increased its points to 57.350 after Union SG's victory.
