Former national athlete Sabri Kılıç, who went boar hunting in the Tire district of İzmir, lost his life when his hunting rifle, which was hanging on his back, accidentally discharged. Kılıç's lifeless body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution's morgue for an autopsy.
A heartbreaking death incident occurred in the rural area of Hasan Çavuşlar Neighborhood, located in the Tire district of İzmir. According to the information obtained, Sabri Kılıç (45), a former national team athlete of the Turkish Underwater Sports Federation who went wild boar hunting, accidentally fired his shotgun when it got caught on a branch while he was passing through a scrub area.
ATHLETE SHOT IN THE BACK DIED
Kılıç, who was hit by the pellets from the shotgun, was seriously injured in the back. After citizens reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams determined that Kılıç had died at the scene. His lifeless body was taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for the determination of the exact cause of death after the prosecutor's examination.
