AFTER THE FIRE, THE LIFLESS BODY OF AN ELDERLY WOMAN WAS FOUND IN THE HOUSE
The incident occurred in an apartment on Öğretmenler Street in the Hürriyet neighborhood. Upon receiving reports from nearby citizens who saw thick smoke coming from the apartment, fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the address. The fire was brought under control quickly with the intervention of the fire department. After extinguishing the fire, the lifeless body of a woman was found during the examination of the house.
THERE ARE CUTTING TOOL MARKS ON HER NECK AND ABDOMEN
In the identification made by the police teams, it was learned that the deceased was Binnaz Eriş (70), the mother of Serkan Eriş, a member of the Süleymanpaşa Municipal Council. In the investigation conducted by the Tekirdağ Provincial Police Department's Crime Scene Investigation teams, it was reported that cutting tool marks were found on Binnaz Eriş's neck and abdomen, and blood traces were detected at the scene. Initial findings suggest that the incident may be a homicide.
The body of Binnaz Eriş was taken to the Tekirdağ Forensic Medicine Institution to determine the exact cause of death, and a comprehensive investigation into the incident has been initiated.
