The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) has made a new regulation that closely concerns ATM users. The use of certain passwords has been prohibited, and it has been announced that cards belonging to those who use these passwords will be confiscated. Nowadays, theft and fraud crimes have become very widespread. Especially the concept of fraud with credit cards is one of the most talked-about issues of our time. Cardholders experience significant victimization if their cards are copied and the password used is a predictable one. BAD NEWS FOR FANSAccording to the decision made by the BRSA; following the previous prevention of using birth dates as passwords, the latest decision states that dates such as 1453, 1881, and 1915 will also not be allowed as passwords. The founding dates of sports clubs, such as 1903, 1905, 1907, as well as repeated plates like 6161 and 5757, are also included in this scope. CARDS MAY BE BLOCKEDCredit card users who log in by entering these passwords at ATMs will be directed by the bank to change their passwords to more current and secure ones. If these passwords continue to be used, the BRSA may cancel the cards or may obligate the cardholder to obtain a new password. If users insist on their passwords despite the bank's warnings, ATMs may block the cards.
