An LPG car that caught fire in the engine compartment while in motion in Kırıkkale was extinguished by the intervention of the fire department. It was learned that the driver had borrowed the vehicle from his nephew to use during the Ramadan holiday.
While driving in the Yahşihan district of Kırıkkale, an LPG vehicle caught fire in the engine compartment, and the flames were extinguished by the intervention of the fire department.
THE VEHICLE BECAME UNUSABLE
The fire occurred during the night in the Yahşihan district of Kırıkkale. According to the information obtained, the Fiat brand LPG vehicle with license plate 71 ADY 269, driven by M.Ü., caught fire in the engine section while in motion. The flames spread quickly and engulfed the vehicle. Upon the notification made to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. With the rapid intervention of the fire department, the fire was brought under control and extinguished. The teams took safety measures by closing the LPG tank of the vehicle against a possible explosion.
HE HAD BORROWED THE VEHICLE
The police teams temporarily closed the street to vehicle and pedestrian traffic during the fire. Health teams were on standby at the scene. Upon investigation, it was assessed that the fire originated from an electrical short circuit. The vehicle fire was survived with material damage.
Moreover, it was learned that the driver M.Ü. borrowed the vehicle from his nephew to use during the Ramadan holiday.
