In the murder of Halil Çevik, who was found to have been shot in the head with his hands tied in Muğla in 2023, the mystery has been unveiled. With the efforts of a special team from Ankara, a 17-year-old suspect was apprehended, who confessed that he planned the murder following a dispute that arose over "grazing animals."
On November 11, 2023, in the Datça district of Muğla, Halil Çevik (54), who was found dead with his hands tied and shot in the head, has led to the establishment of a special team in Ankara to capture the suspect in his murder.
SPECIAL TEAM BEGINS TO FOLLOW 17-YEAR-OLD
Under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's Public Order Department, a team was formed within the Homicide Bureau of the Ankara Police Department, which went to Muğla to begin its work based on the existing evidence. The special team, which examined the crime scene multiple times and interviewed witnesses, began to follow M.Y.D (17), whom they suspected of being the murder suspect, as a result of their investigations.
CONFESSED TO THE MURDER
The young man, who was taken into custody, confessed to the murder during his interrogation. M.Y.D, who works as a shepherd, stated that during a dispute that arose because he was grazing animals on the victim's land, Çevik assaulted him multiple times, and as a result, he planned and committed the murder.
ARRESTED
After completing the procedures at the police station, the suspect was arrested by the court to which he was referred.
