The long-standing border conflicts between Pakistan and Afghanistan escalated into open warfare today, and the toll of the clashes has reached horrifying levels. According to official statements, more than 200 people have lost their lives, and heavy fighting continues between the parties.
CLAIM OF EDUCATION MINISTER'S ASSASSINATION
The Pakistan army announced the capture of a Taliban military position in the Shawal Valley. In the same conflict zone, it was claimed that Taliban Education Minister Neda Mohammad Nadeem was killed in Pakistan's airstrikes. However, this information has not yet been confirmed by official sources.
THE TOLL IS HEAVY WITH EVERY HOUR
Intense clashes occurred along the Durand Line throughout the night; Pakistan's Information Minister Attaullah Tarar claimed that 133 people were killed on the Afghan side during the operations, and more than 200 were injured. The Afghan administration reported that 55 Pakistani soldiers were killed in retaliatory operations and that some headquarters were captured.
The Pakistan Ministry of Defense announced that enemy positions were destroyed and that a large number of military points were brought under control. The operations specifically targeted headquarters and positions belonging to Taliban forces. As airstrikes in the region increased, it was reported that the Pakistan Air Force conducted bombings on critical points such as Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia. These attacks are said to further escalate tensions between the parties.

AFGHANISTAN-PAKISTAN DISPUTE
The Pakistan Ministry of Information announced that following recent bomb attacks in the country, seven points it described as "terror camps" along the border with Afghanistan were targeted. In a statement from the Afghan Ministry of Defense, it was noted that a "suitable and measured response would be given to Pakistan at the appropriate time."
In a statement from the Afghan Red Crescent, it was expressed that 18 people lost their lives and many were injured as a result of Pakistan's attack. Pakistan's Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry reported that "approximately 70 terrorists were neutralized in the attacks carried out along the Afghanistan border."
