A woman in her 40s was targeted by a knife-wielding attacker while trying to open the door of her home in the Deptford area of London. The incident was captured on the security camera at the woman's door. As she searched for her keys, a man dressed in black with his face covered suddenly appeared behind her and attacked with a knife. According to the Metropolitan Police, the woman escaped the incident without any injuries. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
In an incident that occurred on March 27 in the Deptford area of London, a woman in her 40s became the target of a knife-wielding attacker while trying to open her front door. The entire event was captured by a Ring brand security camera at the woman's door.
The footage shows the woman returning home with her backpack and handbag at 7:04 PM, walking down the stairs to reach her door. As she searches for her keys in her handbag, a man dressed in black with his face covered suddenly appears behind her and attacks her with a knife.
In a statement made by the Metropolitan Police (Met), it was noted that police teams arrived at the address approximately 10 minutes after the incident and thankfully the woman did not suffer any injuries.
A police spokesperson stated: "A woman in her 40s was approached by a man in front of her home and threatened with a knife. Our officers went to the scene and spoke with the victim. So far, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing."
