On April 12 in Adana, the family of 7-year-old Cumali Tim reported him missing to the provincial gendarmerie command and AFAD teams, who then initiated a search operation. AFAD teams from Kahramanmaraş are also providing support for the ongoing search efforts on the third day.
A SLIPPER WAS FOUND
Meanwhile, a slipper, believed to belong to the child, was found in a stream by gendarmerie teams yesterday.

The family of the 7-year-old child appeared on Müge Anlı's program. Cumali's mother described the moments:
"He loved to play with dogs the most. He wouldn't go near the river. They were afraid of the river. He was playing with my husband's cousin's son, Yunus Emre... It was around 9:30 when my husband left for work. I was watching the child beside me... The first time I looked, he was playing by the tent. The second time I looked, the child was gone. I couldn't find him. Yunus Emre went to his mother. My child said, 'I'm going to my mother.' But he didn't come to me."
THE LAST FRIEND WHO SAW CUMALI SPOKE
The last person to see Cumali, Yunus Emre, said, "I saw him by the tent. We didn't play at all. Cumali said, 'It got cold,' and I said, 'Come on, let's go inside,' but he didn't go in. He just left."
Cumali Tim's grandfather, Cumali Davulcu, stated, "On Saturday, his father went to open a watermelon greenhouse. His mother was sleeping in the tent because she had a headache. At that time, he warned Cumali not to get lost. Cumali went outside to play with his friend Yunus Emre without paying attention to the warning. After they finished playing, Cumali said he was cold and that he would go to the tent, and they parted ways. The child went missing within 10 minutes. Did he go to the irrigation canal, or did someone take him? No one has seen or heard anything. After playing with Yunus Emre, when they parted, he told Yunus Emre that he was going to the tent because he was cold, but we searched everywhere and couldn't find him. He has been searched for three days on land and in the irrigation canal, but he has not been found. Our child's photo is everywhere. If anyone sees or hears anything, please let us know. Hopefully, we will reach a conclusion," he said.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Cumali Tim, the older of two children of the couple Karanfil and İbrahim Tim, who work as agricultural laborers in the Bahçe neighborhood of Adana's Karataş district, was last heard from after leaving the tent to play with a friend on the morning of April 12.
When the workers could not find Tim, they reported the situation to the gendarmerie.
Upon the report, gendarmerie and AFAD teams were dispatched to the area. The teams began search operations using drones and tracking dogs.
