Renowned artist Ahu Tuğba, who has been battling with COPD for a while, passed away at her home in Miami. Tuğba's daughter, Anjelik Calvin, called into the program "Söylemezsem Olmaz" and shared her mother's final moments.
"I KISSED MY MOTHER GOODNIGHT AND TOLD HER I LOVE HER"
Anjelik Calvin, struggling to speak during the live broadcast, used the following words: "I am going through a terrible shock. I am very sleep deprived, my brothers and sister are with me. My mother had been suffering from advanced stage COPD for a long time and she hadn't been feeling well for the past few days. We talked in the evening, I kissed my mother goodnight and told her I love her. We fell asleep. When I woke up in the morning, I thought she was still sleeping... A few hours later, I realized that there was no movement from my mother. My mother used to wake up at the sound of a door normally. She was very emotional, unlike any other woman. She didn't get involved with any married man or break up any family. She supported many people financially. It's very difficult for me to speak. She always stood by me, she could have gone and lived with a man. She spent her money on my education. She was always a different mother to me."
"MY MOTHER WAS ICE COLD WHEN I WENT TO HER"
"She had been coughing for the past few days and I wanted to take her to the hospital but she didn't want to go. I woke up in the afternoon and thought my mother was resting, but when it was night, there was still no movement. Later, I called 911. When I went to my mother, my precious little pearl, she was ice cold. It is the greatest pain in the world to find a mother in that state for a child. May God never let my enemy experience this. I wish they had taken my heart out so that I wouldn't have seen my mother like that. My mother didn't let a man into her life for 14 years. She never left my side for a second, she waited for hours at the doors of my school. She was both a mother and a father to me. My heart is bleeding, I can't speak."
