Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated in a speech at the Atlantic Council that significant steps have been taken towards normalizing relations with Turkey. Pashinyan said, "We hope to achieve concrete results very soon."
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during his visit to Washington, D.C., where he participated in the Atlantic Council, stated that they are making serious efforts to normalize relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan.
FINAL STAGE IN PEACE TALKS WITH AZERBAIJAN
Evaluating his country's current regional relations, Pashinyan expressed that a critical stage has been reached in the peace negotiations with Azerbaijan. He mentioned that full agreement has been reached on 15 out of 17 points in the discussions.
"AZERBAIJAN, ARMENIA, AND TURKEY WILL COME CLOSER THAN EVER"
Pashinyan stated that regarding the resolution of the two points under discussion, "We hope to complete the process as soon as possible. We are working directly with Azerbaijan, but the support of the international community is also critical for lasting peace. Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey will come closer than ever."
THE NORMALIZATION PROCESS WITH TURKEY IS GAINING MOMENTUM
Touching on relations with Turkey, Pashinyan emphasized their determination for normalization and recalled that he has met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan several times. The Armenian Prime Minister announced that an agreement has been reached to open the border between the two countries for certain groups. Pashinyan stated, "We have reached a concrete agreement to open our border to citizens of third countries and holders of diplomatic passports. We hope to implement this agreement as soon as possible and are working towards that."

Emphasizing that the foreign ministers and representatives of the two countries are in constant communication, Pashinyan said, "Perhaps there has never been such an active dialogue." The Armenian leader conveyed that while there are some nuances in the relations, the process is progressing, stating, "We hope to achieve tangible results very soon."
