In Tavşantepe Neighborhood of Bağlar district in Diyarbakır, important developments are taking place regarding the death of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21st and whose lifeless body was found 19 days later. The examination conducted by the Forensic Medicine revealed that Narin was 'killed by suffocation'.

THERE IS BLEEDING IN THE NECK AREA

The details of Narin's Histopathology report prepared by the Pathology unit of Diyarbakır Forensic Medicine Institution have also emerged. The report stated that decay and liquefaction occurred in many parts of Narin's body that were sent to the Pathology department. However, the result from Narin's neck area is noteworthy. The report states that there are clustered erythrocyte-like areas (bleeding) that cannot have their cytoplasmic boundaries distinguished among the heavy autolytic muscle segments in the examined neck anterior muscle groups of Narin.

According to the news on Habertürk; Forensic Medicine and Public Health Specialist Prof. Dr. Sadık Toprak, who evaluated this report, stated that there is bleeding in Narin's neck and this indicates that Narin was killed by suffocation. Toprak stated that it would be beneficial to see the detailed autopsy report regarding with what and how she was suffocated and said, "I think she was probably suffocated by hand. In such child deaths, the killer usually uses their hands. Because there is a weak child in front of them."

91 FINDINGS UNDER EXAMINATION

Narin's Histopathology report was also sent to the Autopsy department of Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institution. In addition, it was learned that 91 separate findings taken from Narin's lifeless body are being examined in detail at Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institution and it is expected that the detailed forensic medicine report will be completed next week.

WAS SHE KILLED INSIDE THE VEHICLE?

The DNA traces that emerged regarding Narin started to provide information about the place where the murder was committed. The fact that Narin's DNA was found on her uncle Salim's hands, on the steering wheel of the vehicle, and on the front seat of the vehicle also strengthened the possibility that the murder was committed inside the vehicle. Another possibility is that the uncle suffocated Narin near the vehicle. Immediately after killing her, he wrapped Narin in a blanket and put her inside the vehicle. The fluids that got on Salim's hands also got inside the vehicle. Authorities are also considering the possibility that Narin was killed inside the vehicle.
