The incident occurred around 11:00 PM yesterday in the Uzundere neighborhood of the Karabağlar district. According to the information obtained, a cash transport vehicle belonging to a bank was targeted by two armed suspects whose identities have not yet been determined. A struggle broke out between the two security guards in the vehicle and the robbers.
THEY TOOK THE MONEY AND FLED
According to claims, there was a struggle lasting about an hour between the armed attackers and the security guards. It was alleged that the security guards were assaulted and lost consciousness after the prolonged struggle. Seizing the opportunity while the guards were incapacitated, the suspects took a large amount of money from the transport vehicle and fled the scene.
Upon notification, a large number of police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. The medical teams that arrived at the scene provided first aid to the security guards who were injured in various parts of their bodies and had lost consciousness, and transported them to the hospital. The police teams, who cordoned off the scene with security tape, conducted fingerprint examinations on the vehicle and in the surrounding area.
The teams from the Public Order Branch, which deepened the investigation, consulted the statements of witnesses in the area where the incident occurred. The teams, who meticulously examined the security camera footage and the City Security Management System (KGYS) records second by second, are continuing their efforts to identify and capture the two suspects who executed the heist and fled.
