A Turkish resident in Canada expressed his frustration over a waiting period of 2.5 years, stating that he was referred for an orthopedic appointment in July 2023 but only received a response from the clinic in February 2026.

A Turkish person living in Canada shared their experience with the country's healthcare system through a post on social media. The citizen stated that they consulted their family doctor in July 2023 due to an inward foot problem and expressed that the doctor referred them to the orthopedics department.

"RETURN MADE AFTER 2.5 YEARS"

However, the citizen reported that the response for an appointment from the orthopedics clinic was made on February 5, 2026, stating that they waited exactly 2.5 years.

"YOU HAVE TO WAIT A LONG TIME FOR THESE"

The Turkish person who shared about the issue wrote under the video they recorded, "A happy ending to the adventure that started in July 2023! By the way, since I didn't receive a call from the orthopedics clinic for a long time, I went back to my family doctor about 7-8 months after the first appointment. He said there are too many people waiting in orthopedics; he said to expect a call soon. He also added, 'If you break your foot, they will see you immediately, but if you just rolled your foot, oh my ankle hurts... You have to wait a long time for these'... After a year had passed since the first appointment, I thought, 'They probably won't call me.' I started trying to find solutions in my own world by getting insoles, orthopedic shoes, and so on. My appointment is on February 17, friends."
