During the moments when the Greek team arrived at the venue for the match against Panathinaikos, a group of Israeli fans waiting at the entrance shouted abusive chants at Ergin Ataman as he got off the bus. CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM PANATHINAIKOS
Panathinaikos Club issued a statement on social media, saying, "More than 300 Maccabi fans waited just outside the entrance to the locker rooms, hurling insults at our head coach Ergin Ataman and the rest of our team. We condemn this behavior."
