Tons of fresh vegetables dumped in a forest in Çanakkale sparked outrage. A citizen who recorded the moment protested against food waste, saying, "At least half of the tomatoes here are intact. The peppers aren't rotten either. I can't understand why they do this, aren't there any people in need around you?"

Images captured by Ali Aydoğdu, a mushroom and plant observer on a walk in a forested area in Çanakkale, revealed both a huge economic waste and an unbelievable environmental insensitivity. It was determined that unidentified individuals dumped kilograms of intact tomatoes and peppers, along with their crates, into the forested area and scattered trash around.

"SHAMELESSLY, THEY EVEN EMPTIED THEIR CAR ASHTRAY HERE!"

Shocked by the scene he encountered while hiking, Ali Aydoğdu recorded the environmental crime second by second. Showing dozens of cigarette butts thrown on the ground, Aydoğdu harshly criticized this irresponsibility in a forested area where fire sensitivity is high, saying, "Shamelessly, they even emptied their car ashtray here."

"WASN'T THERE ANYONE IN NEED?"

Approaching the piles of spilled vegetables to examine them, Aydoğdu picked up a tomato and a pepper to prove they were not rotten. Highlighting the freshness of the products, the observer stated: "A perfectly intact tomato, nothing wrong... At least half of these tomatoes are fine. The peppers are not rotten either; they are perfectly fresh."

Also recording the juice boxes and cardboard waste around, the citizen protested the food waste, saying, "I can't understand why they do this. Wasn't there anyone in need around you!"

"IF I SAID WHAT I'M THINKING, MY ACCOUNT WOULD BE BANNED"

The cigarette butts, inviting the risk of forest fires in summer, and plastic waste abandoned in nature caused a huge uproar on social media. Sharing the images, Ali Aydoğdu expressed his reaction, saying, "What can I say... If I said what I'm thinking, my address (account) would probably be banned." Local residents called on authorities to find the suspects who polluted nature and posed a fire risk.
