In Adana, the suspects who called a businessman threatened him by saying, "You will give us 2 million lira, otherwise the outcome will be bad." Two 17-year-old suspects blocked the businessman’s car and held a gun to his head when he refused to pay the extortion. The two suspects were arrested and sent to prison.

The incident occurred in the Gürselpaşa neighborhood of the Seyhan district in Adana around 21:00 on February 28. A person who called businessman E.U. (30) a while ago demanded a ransom, saying, "You will give us 2 million lira. Otherwise, the end will be bad." E.U. refused to pay this amount.

Following this, M.A. (17) and E.E. (17) went to E.U.'s house by car and cut off the front of E.U.'s vehicle. M.A. pointed a gun he took from his waist to E.U.'s head and said, "Brother, someone will call you, answer the phone." Upon E.U.'s cries for help, M.A. and E.E. got into the car and fled the scene.

4 SUSPECTS WERE CAPTURED

Teams from the Seyhan District Police Department's Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau, which initiated work related to the incident, examined security camera footage from the area and the route. The teams identified the address where the suspects were hiding and captured 2 individuals along with Mazlum O., who was alleged to have instigated them, and Samet İ., who rented the car used in the incident, in simultaneous raids at their addresses.

2 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED

M.A. and E.U., who were taken to the police station, claimed during their interrogations that they were instigated by Mazlum O., who said he would take a share from the money E.U. would send. After their procedures, M.A. and E.U. were sent to the courthouse and were arrested by the court. Mazlum O. and Samet İ., who claimed they had no connection to the incident, were released under judicial control.
