The incident occurred on Wednesday around 02:00 at a gas station on İvriz Road in the Çömlekçi neighborhood. Two hooded and masked individuals armed with a gun entered the market section of the gas station, threatened the two employees at the cash register with the weapon, and demanded the money in the cash register. The employees handed over 13,900 TL in cash to the robbers. The two individuals who took the money quickly fled the scene. The moment of the incident was captured by the workplace's security camera.

POLICE TRACKED THEM DOWN WITH 30 CAMERA RECORDINGS

The Ereğli District Police Department teams, who initiated an investigation into the incident, reviewed the recordings of 30 security cameras along the suspects' escape route one by one and tracked them down. The investigation revealed that the suspects were A.K. (27), İ.K. (21), and two women who assisted them, A.G. (48) and S.K. (36). The four individuals were detained at the address where they were hiding.

It was revealed that the suspects used a portion of the money obtained from the robbery to buy products such as biscuits and chocolate from another gas station's market. Approximately 10,000 TL remaining was seized.

It was reported that legal action had previously been initiated against A.G. among the suspects for the crime of 'qualified fraud by exploiting religious beliefs and feelings' based on allegations that he made amulets and performed magic for money.
