In the Andırın district of Kahramanmaraş, 96-year-old Abdullah İspir and 86-year-old Döne İspir, who were married for 67 years and had 11 children, died 6 hours apart. The İspir couple was laid to rest side by side, with their children, grandchildren, and relatives in tears.
In Kahramanmaraş, the sad incident occurred in the Boztopraklı neighborhood of Andırın district. Döne İspir (86) fell ill last Wednesday. Her relatives took her to Kadirli State Hospital, and she was admitted to intensive care.
FELL ILL AFTER HER HUSBAND
According to a report from DHA, doctors stated that Döne İspir's illness was due to old age, and her husband, Abdullah İspir (96), also fell ill on Sunday.
DIED SIX HOURS APART
Abdullah İspir, taken to Andırın State Hospital by his children, was transferred to Kahramanmaraş after initial treatment. Due to age-related illnesses, the İspir couple were treated in intensive care units at different hospitals. Döne İspir passed away around 03:00 yesterday, and Abdullah İspir passed away around 09:00, despite all medical interventions.
MARRIED FOR 67 YEARS
Abdullah İspir and Döne İspir, who spent 67 years of their lives together and died six hours apart, were buried side by side in the Boztopraklı neighborhood cemetery amid tears.
