Galatasaray Club has applied to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) to prevent Slovenian referee Slavko Vincic from officiating the derby match against Fenerbahçe. However, the TFF rejected Galatasaray's request. The TFF also informed the clubs that it would not respond to either team's requests regarding the appointment of a foreign referee for the derby. The final decision will be made jointly by the TFF and the Referees' Committee (MHK).
The President of the Turkish Football Federation, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, announced that a foreign referee will officiate the derby between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe.
GALATASARAY DOES NOT WANT VINCIC
Slovenia's Slavko Vincic, Romania's Istvan Kovacs, France's Clement Turpin, and Poland's Szymon Marciniak have come to the forefront.
Following the emergence of Slavko Vincic among these names, Galatasaray Club took action and informed the TFF that they do not want Vincic due to Fenerbahçe Vice President Acun Ilıcalı's ownership of the Maribor Club in Slovenia.
REJECTION OF GALATASARAY'S REQUEST
According to the news from Yağız Sabuncuoğlu; the TFF responded negatively to Galatasaray after the Vincic application. The TFF informed the clubs that they would not respond to the requests of both teams regarding the foreign referee to be appointed for the derby. It was stated that the final decision would be made jointly by the TFF and MHK and announced to the public through the official site.
