The week of decision-making for the European Central Bank and the Central Bank of Turkey was quite active in the markets. This week, gold was the most profitable investment instrument. Gold continues to be a safe haven for both domestic and foreign investors.

This week, the US dollar depreciated by 0.10%, while the gram selling price of 24-carat gold increased by 2.29%. In Borsa Istanbul, stocks traded this week lost an average of 0.93% on a weekly basis, while euro/TL decreased by 0.77% and dollar/TL by 0.10%.

The gram price of gold showed an increase of 2.29%.

BORSA ISTANBUL

The BIST 100 index completed the week at 8,793.61 points, losing 0.93% compared to the previous week's closing, after seeing a low of 8,680.72 and a high of 9,070.02 points.

GOLD

The gram selling price of 24-carat gold traded in the Grand Bazaar increased by 2.29% this week, reaching 2,991 lira, while the selling price of the Republic gold rose by 1.35% to 20,280 lira.

The selling price of the quarter gold, which was 5,020 lira last weekend, increased by 1.37% to 5,089 lira.

CURRENCY

This week, the US dollar depreciated by 0.10% to 34.2490 lira, while the euro decreased by 0.77% to 37.2260 lira.

MUTUAL FUNDS

Mutual funds gained 0.42% this week, and pension funds increased by 0.77%.

When looking at the categories, the most profitable mutual funds were "precious metal" funds, which gained 3.20%.
