Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz made a statement regarding the aid ship belonging to the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, which is heading towards Gaza, saying, "I have instructed the Israel Defense Forces to prevent the Madleen ship from reaching Gaza. I am clearly telling the antisemitic Greta and her friends: Turn back, because you will not be able to reach Gaza." Turkish activist Yasemin Acar is also on board the ship.
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz threatened the humanitarian aid-laden ship Madleen, belonging to the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFF), which is advancing in Egyptian territorial waters with 12 people, including world-renowned climate activist Greta Thunberg, to break Israel's blockade on Gaza.
"TURN BACK, BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT REACH GAZA"
Katz, who shared a photo of his meeting with Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and naval commanders on his social media account, stated: "I instructed the Israeli army to do whatever it takes to prevent the Madleen hate flotilla from reaching Gaza. I clearly tell the anti-Semitic Greta and Hamas propaganda spokespeople: Turn back, because you will not reach Gaza." Katz expressed that Israel would take action "at sea, in the air, and on land" against any attempts to break the blockade on Gaza.
"WE WILL NOT TURN BACK"
Member of the European Parliament Rima Hassan stated in a post on her social media account, "We will not turn back. There is less than 24 hours left until we are illegally detained by Israeli officials who want to prevent us from reaching the Gaza Strip. When we can no longer communicate with you, I ask and trust you to continue your mobilization that has greatly supported us throughout this journey."
