A retired police officer, who injured a driver he was fighting with in traffic in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs residence in Ankara using the grip of his gun and fired shots into the air, was neutralized by security teams after being shot in the leg.
In the Çankaya district of Ankara, a traffic dispute in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs residence turned into an armed incident in the morning hours. A retired police officer, whose name has not been disclosed, got out of his vehicle and fought with the driver he was arguing with in traffic.
GUARDS SHOT HIM IN THE LEG
During the fight, the retired police officer injured the other driver with the grip of his gun and then fired into the air. Upon hearing the gunshots, the security police on duty at the residence quickly intervened. The retired police officer was neutralized after being shot in the leg.
TEAMS WERE DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE
Health and numerous police teams were dispatched to the scene. Two injured individuals were taken to the hospital by ambulances. As part of security measures, bomb disposal teams conducted an examination of the vehicles at the scene.
A comprehensive investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
