As part of the investigation launched regarding the incidents that occurred after the match between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, Fenerbahçe Club Doctor Ertuğrul Karanlık, former Fenerbahçe executive Hulusi Belgü, and Fenerbahçe Coach İsmail Kartal's son Emre Kartal arrived at Istanbul Justice Palace to give their statements.

The derby match played between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe on Sunday evening was followed by incidents after Fenerbahçe won with a 1-0 lead. During Fenerbahçe's celebration on the field, there was a scuffle between Galatasaray's general secretary Eray Yazgan, stadium manager Ali Çelikkıran, and President Dursun Özbek's driver and Fenerbahçe officials. An investigation was initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incidents that occurred in the derby. As part of the investigation, Fenerbahçe Club Doctor Ertuğrul Karanlık, former Fenerbahçe executive Hulusi Belgü, and Fenerbahçe Technical Director İsmail Kartal's son Emre Kartal were called to testify at the Istanbul Justice Palace. Hulusi Belgü, Ertuğrul Karanlık, and Emre Kartal, who were called to testify as part of the investigation, arrived at the Çağlayan courthouse Press Crimes Investigation Bureau to give their statements. The suspects will give their statements to the press prosecutor.
