Ahmet Değirmenci (42), who lived separately from his wife in the Beyşehir district of Konya, was found dead in the bathroom of his home, having been struck on the head with a hard object. His friends R.D. (43), M.E.B. (40), and A.P. (34), who reported that they found Değirmenci "in a pool of blood" and were identified through security camera footage as having entered and exited the house earlier, were arrested on charges of "intentional murder."
The incident occurred yesterday in an apartment on the second floor of a four-story building on 41180 Street in Müftü Mahallesi. According to the information obtained, police and medical teams were dispatched to the address after it was reported that there were blood stains at the door and that the individual did not open the door. Upon entering the house, the teams found blood stains in the residence and discovered Ahmet Değirmenci (42) lying motionless in the bathroom. The medical team's examination determined that the individual had passed away.
FOOTAGE REVIEWED
Değirmenci, who had signs of assault on his head, was taken to the morgue of Beyşehir State Hospital and then to the Konya Forensic Medicine Institution on suspicion of murder. While the crime scene investigation teams conducted their examination in the house, they also reviewed the security camera footage of the building.
KILLED BY A SHOT TO THE HEAD
The preliminary autopsy revealed that Ahmet Değirmenci, a father of one daughter, was killed by being struck on the head. It was learned that he had divorced his wife and started living at a new address he rented a while ago. Due to economic difficulties while running a coffee shop, he had left the partnership and started working as a waiter at another establishment.
3 FRIENDS ARRESTED
Meanwhile, R.D., M.E.B., and A.P., who were taken into custody in connection with the murder, were referred to Beyşehir Courthouse after their procedures at the District Police Department. The three suspects were arrested by the on-duty magistrate and sent to Seydişehir Prison.
