Due to the extreme heat that has been affecting Israel for about a week, it has been reported that 2,565 people received medical intervention and 3 people lost their lives.

In a report by Israel's Yedioth Ahronot newspaper, it was stated that 2,565 people received medical intervention between August 8-15 due to the severe heat affecting Israel.

3 PEOPLE HAVE DIED

It was noted that the 3 deaths due to the extreme heat occurred in Tiberias in the north of Israel and in the cities of Eilat and Negev in the south.

Israel's emergency medical service, Magen David Adom, reported that they provided medical assistance to 2,565 people affected by the extreme heat due to complaints such as weakness, fainting, dizziness, and confusion.

ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION REACHED RECORD LEVELS

According to data from the Israel Meteorological Service, a new temperature record was set in the city of Safed in the north of the country, where thermometers showed 41.4 degrees. Meanwhile, in the southern city of Eilat, thermometers indicated 48.8 degrees. Due to the extreme heat affecting Israel, electricity consumption reached record levels.

The country's electricity distribution company, Independent System Operator (Noga), reported that for the first time in the country's history, electricity consumption exceeded 17,000 megawatts on Tuesday due to the rising temperatures. The railway company had to impose speed limits on some train routes.
