In the corruption investigation conducted against the Bolu Municipality, 3 individuals who were detained were released by the duty judge to be tried without arrest. Following the arrest of the mayor and the deputy mayor last month, gendarmerie teams carried out a detailed search in the municipal building.

Three individuals detained as part of the investigation against Bolu Municipality were released to be tried without arrest by the duty magistrate. Last month, Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan and Deputy Mayor Süleyman Can were arrested and sent to prison as part of the investigation into 'extortion through coercion'. Extensive search operations initiated by gendarmerie teams at the municipal building continue with the first light of dawn yesterday. While the gendarmerie examined all computers and digital materials in the institution, three individuals were detained.

SEARCH CONDUCTED AT THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING

Regarding the incident, CHP council member Cihan Tutal, Financial Affairs Director Naim Ayhan, and BOLSEV Foundation member Ali Sarıyıldız were detained. Previously, Naim Ayhan and Ali Sarıyıldız had also been detained in relation to the investigation and were released after their statements. The gendarmerie teams completed their work at the municipal building, which lasted approximately 5 hours. Important documents and computers were taken in bags to the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office by the teams.

3 INDIVIDUALS RELEASED

After the detention procedures were completed at the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, CHP council member Cihan Tutal, Financial Affairs Director Naim Ayhan, and BOLSEV Foundation member Ali Sarıyıldız were transferred to Bolu Courthouse in the afternoon.
