Togg ranked first in the brand standings in the Turkish electric vehicle market with 20,140 sales and a 31% market share in the 10-month period of the year.
According to data from the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), total sales of cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey decreased by 1.2% compared to the same period last year, reaching 947,166 units in the January-October period.
During this period, car sales increased by 0.2% to 750,935 units, while light commercial vehicle sales recorded a decrease of 6.3% to 196,231 units. FULLY ELECTRIC GEAR SHIFTED UPIn the January-October period, the number of "fully electric" car sales increased by 42.7% to 69,744. The share of fully electric cars in total sales rose from 6.5% to 9.3% compared to the same period last year, while the share of hybrid cars increased from 10.7% to 16.9%. When considering "fully electric," "extended range electric," and "hybrid" vehicles, it was observed that vehicles with electric motors made up 26.2% of the total market. T10X OUTDISTANCED ITS CLOSEST RIVAL BY ABOUT 13,000According to ODMD data, Togg maintained its leadership in the electric vehicle market in the first 10 months of the year. With 20,140 sales in the 10-month period, Togg outdistanced its closest rival by 12,773 units. During this period, Togg's market share in electric vehicles was recorded at 31%. Thus, one in every three electric vehicles sold bore the Togg logo. BEST-SELLING ELECTRIC BRANDSWhen looking at the electric vehicle market by brand, in the January-October period, Togg was followed by Tesla with 7,367 sales and BMW with 6,576 sales. KG Mobility (Ssangyong) ranked fourth with 3,982 sales, and Mercedes-Benz ranked fifth with 3,931 sales. When considered by model, the sales ranking during this period was Togg T10X, Tesla Model Y, KG Mobility Torres, BMW X1, and Mercedes EQB. TOGG ALSO LEADS IN OCTOBER SALESOn the other hand, looking at October, in the fully electric vehicle market of 8,341 units, Togg ranked first with 3,091 sales, BMW second with 557 sales, and Mini and KG Mobility (Ssangyong) third with 425 sales. Tesla ranked fourth with 340 sales, while Hyundai IONIQ 5 positioned fifth with 302 sales.
