The court sent the file to an expert to determine the value of the items to be divided after they have been used. The value of the toilet brush and other items will be determined after the expert examines the depreciation. Then, the court will make a decision regarding the division of property.

Lawyer Taha Ekici, who made a statement regarding the case, said, "Our female client came to our office to get divorced. We filed a lawsuit for all the divorce proceedings and ancillary matters of this couple. Of course, the division of property is also among the ancillary matters of divorce. This includes items they bought together or items they purchased individually. Our client brought us a complete list of these items. We filed a lawsuit based on these items. Normally, we were expecting a decision in the last hearing of this case. However, the court did not make a decision. In the list sent to us, all the items brought by our client were written in great detail, down to their brands. These items include sofas, couches, and interestingly, even a toilet brush." he said.

"THE COURT SENT THE FILE TO THE EXPERT"

Ekici stated that the court has determined the current value of the items, saying, "However, the court wanted this file to go back to the expert. Because it was stated that these items have been used and that there would be depreciation after use, which would decrease their value. For this reason, the court sent this file back to the expert. In short, the expert will currently determine how much the toilet brush has depreciated and what its value will be after depreciation, and then the court will make a decision in this regard." he expressed.

"I THINK THIS CASE IS A FIRST"

Ekici, who stated that they have concluded the divorce case, the jewelry case, and the custody case, said, "We have actually concluded the divorce of our client, the jewelry case, and the custody case. However, the only thing that is not yet concluded is the items we mentioned, namely the toilet brush. Because of the toilet brush, our case is not yet considered complete. We are currently waiting for that. I think this case is a first." he stated.
