Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan stated that they want a foreign referee to officiate the Ziraat Turkey Cup final against Galatasaray and that they have submitted this request to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF). Doğan said, "We presented our request for a foreign referee for the Turkey Cup final to the federation. However, the federation only deemed this appropriate for the Fenerbahçe-Galatasaray match."
Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan made striking statements after the match in which they defeated Göztepe 2-0 in the semi-finals of the Ziraat Turkey Cup, securing their place in the final. Doğan announced that they have applied to the TFF for the referee of the grand final to be played against Galatasaray.

Ertuğrul Doğan said, "I don't want to say much about the referees anymore. I'm just laughing. It's a funny situation. We've said everything we needed to say. I pray that God gives wisdom and understanding," he stated.

WHEN IS THE GRAND FINAL?
By defeating Göztepe 2-0, Trabzonspor became the second finalist in the Ziraat Turkey Cup, and they will face Galatasaray, who advanced to the final by defeating Konyaspor with a score of 5-1. The match, which will determine the owner of the cup, will be played on May 14.
