Traditional Cuisine Of Turkiye Promoted In Russia As Part Of Turkish Cuisine Week

Festival to promote Turkish cuisine internationally being held from May 21 27.

Turkish cuisine prepared with centuries-old recipes was introduced Sunday in the Russian capital, Moscow, as part of Turkish Cuisine Week.

Turkish Cuisine Week is organized under the auspices of the Turkish Presidency and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Turkiye's Ambassador to Russia, Mehmet Samsar, and his wife Feruza Samsar as well as embassy employees and Turkish and Russian citizens attended the event, where Turkish dishes were served.

In addition, the book "Turkish Cuisine with Centennial Recipes" prepared by the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry was introduced.

Held for the first time from May 21-27, Turkish Cuisine Week aims to showcase Turkish dishes "with all their original qualities as the crown of our tables," according to the Turkish Presidency.

"During Turkish Cuisine Week, meals prepared with creative presentations by Turkiye's world-famous cooks will be offered to visitors in their own geography," the presidency said.
