Traffic accident in Tokat: 2 people lost their lives.

In a traffic accident that occurred on the Tokat-Niksar highway, 2 people lost their lives while 1 person was seriously injured. The accident took place around 12:45 at the Dönekse location on the Tokat-Niksar highway. According to reports, a truck with the license plate 06 EJR 074, driven by A. T., was heading towards Niksar from Tokat when it collided with an Opel car with the license plate 23 ADY 976, driven by Ayşe Yılmaz, due to the slippery road caused by the rainy weather, resulting in the driver losing control of the steering wheel.

TWO PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES

Upon receiving reports from citizens who witnessed the accident, health, police, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. While vehicle traffic was managed in a controlled manner, fire brigade teams rescued one person trapped in the car. In the accident, the car driver Ayşe Yılmaz (43) and İlknur Karabulut (23) lost their lives, while a person named Z. A. was taken to Niksar State Hospital with serious injuries. The truck driver escaped the accident without injury, and an investigation into the accident has been initiated.
