An investigation has been initiated against Cem Aydın, the Chairman of the CHP Youth Branch, due to a post made against Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek. After his statement, Aydın was released under judicial control and is prohibited from leaving the country. He will also have to sign in three days a week.

The Chairman of the CHP Youth Branch, Cem Aydın, has been investigated for "insulting a public official" and "targeting individuals fighting against terrorism" following a post made on the social media account of the CHP Youth Branch.

As part of the investigation, Cem Aydın, the Chairman of the CHP Youth Branch, was summoned to give a statement by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and was taken to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan under police escort.

RELEASED

Aydın gave a statement against the charges of "insulting a public official" and "targeting individuals fighting against terrorism." After his statement at the prosecutor's office, Cem Aydın was referred to the peace criminal court with a request for judicial control. Following his interrogation at the peace criminal court, Aydın was released under judicial control conditions.

TRAVEL BAN

After his release, a travel ban was imposed on Aydın. He will also have to sign in three days a week.
