ISRAEL IS IN TURMOIL

Meanwhile, after the Israeli government's approval of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, Israeli politics became chaotic. Opposition leader Yair Lapid accused Prime Minister Netanyahu, claiming that he accepted the ceasefire due to the fear of arrest and the elected President of the U.S., Trump. Additionally, the resigning National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir also resigned after the acceptance of the agreement, blaming Netanyahu.

CEASEFIRE AGREEMENT IN GAZA

Qatar, one of the mediator countries, announced on January 15 that an agreement had been reached between Israel and Hamas regarding a ceasefire and prisoner exchange in Gaza.

The ceasefire agreement, which will come into effect on Sunday, January 19, will consist of three phases, with 33 Israeli prisoners being released during the first 42 days.
