U.S. President Donald Trump expressed that he is saddened by businessperson Elon Musk's loss of "dominance" in the electric vehicle sector, which has led to Musk criticizing the tax cut legislation. However, Trump added that Musk could "lose much more than that." When asked whether Musk would be deported, Trump replied, "I don't know. We'll have to take a look at that."

In response to a question about whether he would deport billionaire Elon Musk, whose tensions have risen again and who served as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) until May, Trump said, "I don't know. We'll have to take a look at that."

Trump stated that Musk's opposition to the tax cut bill was due to the bill's ending of support for electric vehicles. Trump said, "He’s very sad, but you know he could lose much more than this. Elon could lose much more than this."
"DOGE MAY RETURN AS A MONSTER AND HAVE TO EAT ELON"
Trump also mentioned that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which Musk headed before resigning at the end of May, might consider cutting the incentives that Musk's companies receive from the U.S. government. Trump said, "DOGE may return as a monster and have to eat Elon."
TENSION BETWEEN TRUMP AND MUSK
Elon Musk, the world's richest person and co-founder and CEO of electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla, had been Trump's biggest donor in the 2024 elections and one of his closest allies until May.
A sharp disagreement had occurred between the two due to the tax cut bill, with Musk recently reiterating his criticisms and accusing Republicans of "abandoning their efforts to bring the U.S. to the forefront of the electric vehicle and clean energy revolution."
Recently, Musk stated that if the bill is passed, a new political party called the "America Party" would be established.
