Number of documents, numerous digital materials seized in searches of suspects' addresses in southern Turkey.

Security forces arrested three people in southern Turkey for alleged links to the terror groups PKK and Daesh/ISIS, an official statement said Saturday.

The suspects were arrested in a dawn operation in the Mersin province's Toroslar, Akdeniz, and Yenisehir districts, the provincial gendarmerie command said in a statement.

A number of documents and digital materials were seized in searches of the suspects' addresses, it added.

In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and the EU – has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
