The Ministry of Treasury and Finance shared the latest figures regarding Turkey's gross external debt stock as of June 30. Accordingly, an increase was observed in Turkey's gross external debt stock, which was recorded at 475.8 billion dollars in the same month last year. The Ministry announced the data on gross and net external debt stock, Treasury guaranteed external debt stock, and public net debt stock, along with the general government debt stock defined by the European Union (EU) as of June 30, 2024. TURKEY'S GROSS EXTERNAL DEBT STOCK IS 512 BILLION DOLLARSAccording to this, Turkey's gross external debt stock amounted to 512 billion dollars, while the ratio of the stock to national income was 42.6 percent. At the same time, the net external debt stock was recorded at 265.4 billion dollars. The ratio of the stock to national income was realized at 22.1 percent. The Treasury guaranteed external debt stock was calculated to be 16.6 billion dollars. The public net debt stock was recorded at 6 trillion 337 billion lira during this period. The ratio of the stock to national income was determined to be 18.1 percent. The general government debt stock defined by the EU was also recorded at 9 trillion 144 billion lira, with the ratio of this figure to national income being 26.1 percent.
